Step Up to Writing is published by Sopris Learning, a division of the Cambium Learning Group assisting "educators in developing effective systems to support students in reaching their full academic potential. Each division offers unique supports - from intensive comprehensive and supplemental intervention, supports for English learners, and 21st century technology."

Sopris Learning provides all instructional materials for Step Up to Writing as well as official training for schools, districts, and organizations implementing the Step Up program.
